This has to be one of the Most Popular events for St. Stephen and Calais, The International Homecoming Festival 2008 Throughout the week there are pagents, activities and all kinds of fun things for people of all ages. With our event page we thought it would be nice to write up on some of the ones we have attended or plan on attending. The International Homecoming Festival now has dedicated information on the New Calais Events Website.
The portion I will be taking my family to will be on August 9th, there is a street fair of vendors, games, activities and more in downtown Calais. Throughout St. Stepehen you will see the chocolate festival activity’s for Canada’s Chocolate town happening through out the same time.
Also on the Saturday is there is the International Homecoming Festival Parade that will be jammed packed with bands, old cars, emergency services, and many other groups from surrounding area’s. To finish out the weekend there will also be fireworks to close out The International Homecoming Festival. This is a great family event and I encourage everyone looking for something fun to do, to head down to St. Stepehen and Calais throughout the event to have some fun and experience what these border towns have to offer.
