The Force Unleashed
Well for anyone who hasn’t heard, you can load up your xbox live and take a run at The Force Unleashed, and I will recommend doing so. First off I will openly admit I am a Star Wars Fan Boy…
In the demo you start out on a Star Ship looking down a long corridor, after a couple of steps you will quickly notice that you are able to force interact with the objects laying on the floor. Simply by grabbing an object and a quick flick with the analog stick and letting go of your force grip you get to experience the sheer power of the force.
Watching the canister flip all around smashing the roof and hitting the star ship window, which shatters and starts sucking everything out the window until the blast door slams down, I quickly realized just how much damage I could do without even having to swing my light saber.
However how can you resist, especially after traveling through two corridors with no enemies just so you can have some time to play around with your different abilities. So after using the force to blow through the locked doors I come up on the first enemy so I decide to grab him with the force and hit x to use my light saber, now the sith lord whips the light saber at the poor guy hanging in mid air and it impales him right through his helmet.
Now that I know he has been finished I decided to just chuck him over the edge to dispose of the body, quickly realizing I haven’t received my light saber back yet I ran at the next enemy in line jumping up and hitting him with a force push to send him flying over the edge (remember that scene from the titanic where the guy hits the propeller well you can make that happen if his feet hit the railing lol ). After about another half a second I see my light saber flying back to me as I jump over the side to the lower level to take on a room full of storm troopers and alliance fighters. Yes keep in mind that you need to fight both storm troopers and the alliance in this level, otherwise you will be getting shot in the back a lot.
So I decided it was time to really check the combo system of the light saber and force powers, I ran up to a group of three with couple of slashes I hit the force push but with the combo instead of pushing them The Sith hit the ground and everyone in the near vicinity was lifted into the air for about 3 seconds as I hackedat them with my saber. The next group a couple of slashes adding on the lighting allows your the force lighting to become one with your saber as you strike an enemy in front of you hitting him and the one behind him with the saber and lightening.
I’ll will leave the rest up for your discovery and exploring, I highly recommend checking out this demo and I will definitely be in line to purchase this game on it’s release day.
