Canada Votes – 14th of October

September 8th, 2008

Despite that we have a fixed date set for election the current government has moved ahead and said that we have one month to decide who we are voting for, the next Canadian Federal Election will be on the 14th of October.

Everyone will need to start reviewing the different policies and information provided and hopefully this year we won’t see tons of attack ads but more about what the parties want to do to improve our country.

Just over one month and counting to see what choice Canadian’s make for the next 4 years.

For more information visit the political parties to see what they have planned for all of Canada

Death Race, 2008

September 8th, 2008

Firstly, I have to say that I actually like Jason Statham aka Frankenstein in this movie. I’m not really a big fan of his, but I think he did a super good job in this movie.  So, now lets review..

This movie has lots of good things. A pretty good plot, smokin’ hot actors, fantabulous vehicles ( I LOVE the  ’Stang), and.. some unnecessary death and violence.   I didn’t really like ‘most’ of the action scenes. They were really choppy and made me sea sick. There was too much cutting in and out to another place in the movie, and the only REALLY good action scene is when ‘Machine Gun Joe’ and ‘Frankenstein’ take on a wicked cool heavily armed truck.

I don’t want to give too much of it away. So, I’ll give it a 5 and leave it at that. But I’ll tell ya, if you want to see a movie in the same category that I personally think is better.. then rent Mad Max 2. I give that an 8 any day.

There is about 4 min of us discussing the games and some of the things that we noticed as well as at the end a full minute of game play footage of both games to help you to form your own opinion.

The Force Unleashed

The Force Unleashed

Well for anyone who hasn’t heard, you can load up your xbox live and take a run at The Force Unleashed, and I will recommend doing so. First off I will openly admit I am a Star Wars Fan Boy…

In the demo you start out on a Star Ship looking down a long corridor, after a couple of steps you will quickly notice that you are able to force interact with the objects laying on the floor. Simply by grabbing an object and a quick flick with the analog stick and letting go of your force grip you get to experience the sheer power of the force.

Watching the canister flip all around smashing the roof and hitting the star ship window, which shatters and starts sucking everything out the window until the blast door slams down, I quickly realized just how much damage I could do without even having to swing my light saber.

New Brunswick and Saint John Going Green

September 3rd, 2008

New Brunswick is rolling out there first green school bus while the city of Saint John looks to get rid of bottled water. Both can be a step in the right direction to helping the environment but could potentially just be an additional cost the public will end up paying for, without any real showing of improvement for the environment. » Read more: New Brunswick and Saint John Going Green
